The current Cathedral was built in neo-Gothic style, inspired by the Cathedral of Barcelona, and inaugurated in 1893, the image that is currently in the church, the third in a series. Inside there are stained glass windows, donated by traditional Curitiba families; furniture and pulpits in high relief, carved in imbuia. It was restored in 1993 and on September 8 of the same year it was renamed Minor Basilica Cathedral.
