It was built in the 19th century and is made up of a series of ashlar arches in which the words of illustrious Arequipa people have been engraved. The place has a privileged view of the city and the Misti volcano.

2 km from the center of the city of Arequipa (8 minutes by car).

The square has a viewpoint with a picturesque view of Arequipa and its three volcanoes, the Misti being the most famous, the Chachani and the Pichu Picchu.
