In the Mejía pampa, however, this place does not offer favorable natural conditions to build a port; then, without any authorization, the construction company began to build a temporary wall in the north of the old abandoned colonial port of Mollendo (Chule).







Even so, it is a traditional town and spa in the Department of Arequipa, belonging to the Arequipa Region, in Peru, capital of the province of Islay, bathed by the waters of the Pacific Ocean.
