It is the ideal place for surf lovers. It is one of the last coastal-marine wetlands in Ecuador. The place is characterized by its species of fauna and flora. It has one of the longest waves in Ecuador, almost a kilometer long.

The sand

It is a magnificent beach of fine sand where you can see conglomerates of weathered conchifers; also flat or slightly wavy surfaces.

Extension

Mompiche beach has an approximate extension of 7 kilometers.

Width of its beaches

It is approximately 300 meters wide.

Weather

Its minimum temperature is 21 degrees centigrade and the maximum is 32 degrees centigrade.





Location

To get there you can do it from Muisne just 8 kilometers away.





Biodiversity

Mompiche belongs to the coastal strip that corresponds to the tropical dry forest life zone. On the beach, the disturbed areas composed of a vegetation cover characterized mostly by species of the POACEAE family are very noticeable: around these it is possible to observe some



reduced areas of forest characterized by tree species such as tangaré, sande and caimito for timber use; some bananas and a great variety of vines; likewise bordering the beach is the coconut trees. In addition you can see seagulls, pelicans and herons.

Attractive

• Islands: Mompiche beach is influenced by the islands of Portete, Bolívar and Las Manchas (Isla Bonita): which can be accessed by sea in a journey of approximately 10 to 15 minutes.



Tourist activities

• In Mompiche Beach, tourist activity is directed towards ivo tourism: in the surroundings of the beaches, livestock activity is evident and on a smaller scale crops.
