Gastronomy
In Esposende, the traditional Portuguese gastronomy is held captive at the table of our restaurants. The dedication to the good art of making and serving large portions, "true delicacies of the gods", reflect the purity, variety, genuineness and tradition of our cuisine where they pontificate the endogenous food products that characterize our Atlantic diet, our sea and river.
The menus, for example, of the succulent sea bass - roasted in the oven or rice - without forgetting the sardines and cod cooked in "a thousand and one ways", or the rich seafood of our coast and the lamprey, delight of all of us and represent an odd gastronomic poster in the region and in the country.
In the company of the tasting of these dishes are the Quinta Verde Wines, light, soft and aromatic from the sunny slopes of the Neiva and Cávado valleys.
The conventual and sweet flames of Fão, the cavacas or folhadinhos complete a sumptuous meal.
Esposende is still a small paradise in the field of preservation of these Gastronomic Treasures that correspond to centuries old traditions, a "heavy" heritage of cultural roots that identify this county as "Terra de Mar".
