Senhora da Rocha
Senhora da Rocha is a small fishing community in the municipality of Lagoa, more specifically on the coast of the parish of Porches, in the Algarve. One of its beaches is the Praia da Senhora da Rocha and by the sign the most rustic of the proximities, because it is used like refuge for the boats of the fishermen.
The beach is flanked by cliffs, but of special interest is the West cliff where is the Fort and Chapel of Our Lady of the Rock. Also in this cliff there is a tunnel excavated in the rock, that connects the Beach of the Lady of the Rock with the New Beach.
The fact that Praia da Senhora da Rocha is protected by high cliffs not only has a great advantage for fishermen, but also for tourists on days of less pleasant winds.
